• Sorry for the trouble guys. Publicize seems to have stopped posting to Facebook/Twitter/Google+ for my site with any scheduled product posts. It was working 3-4 days ago but does not function at all as of today.

I’ve reset my connections with the social media sites three times and still nothing.

If I do a new fresh post that I publish right away it works fine – but any scheduled posts will not go out. I am using the “duplicate product” feature for WooCommerce – but I am NOT duplicating published posts – only drafts that are scheduled.

    Thanks for any help here.

  • I am having the same problem, but I think I know what is happening.

Using Post Duplicator by Metaphor Creations https://www.metaphorcreations.com

If I duplicate a post that has already been published, Publicize doesn’t work.

However, if I duplicate a post that has not been published, it does seem to work.

Maybe if you duplicate a published post it already thinks it has been publicized.

@whatmedia – That’s what I thought too. Mine is specific to PRODUCTS though (Woocommerce) and duplicating them.

I upload a number of products at a time that are very similar with minor changes – so I’ll duplicate a scheduled pproduct. These do not seem to publicize.

I tested last night by duplicating a DRAFT product (set it for 5 min in the future) and it worked.

However – this morning, my scheduled product went live on the site, but Publicize skipped posting to FB/Twitter/Google+ – as it has done on the last three product launches.

I have the “skip meta” workaround thing in my Functions file – but still a no go.

I have the same problem for several month now. Publicize was working well and now it is heratic. Some time it work, sometime not.

Support ask me to disconnet and reconnect. It works for some time but now it is not working anymore. If you look in your WP stat you should see thet when publizice is not working there is no post publish.

@jbco That “Skip Meta” trick should indeed help (for everyone else, here is what we’re talking about.)

From what I understand, it seems it works for products that you publish right away, and also sometimes for scheduled products as you pointed out in your second post.

Since the behaviour seems erratic, I wonder if it may be linked to synchronization issues between your site and WordPress.com. Can you please use Jetpack’s Debugger module to send us some more information about your site, so we can run some more tests?

    1. Go to the Jetpack page in your dashboard.
    2. Click on the Debug link appearing at the bottom of the page.
    3. Click the link that says “click here to contact Jetpack support.”
    4. Fill in the description box and your name and email address.
    5. Click the “Contact Support” button to send us the debug results privately. It’s best not to post this information on public forums, as it contains private details about your site.

    Thanks!

@whatmedia I’m not familiar with that plugin, but I would recommend that you get in touch with the plugin author and ask them if it’s possible to duplicate posts without duplicating post meta; that will help.

@ouiouiphoto Do you experience this issue with WooCommerce products as well? If so, could you try the tip suggested in this thread?

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

I wanted to let you know that we found a problem, and are working on a fix. It will be included in the next Jetpack release scheduled to be released in a few weeks.

In the meantime, if you feel comfortable editing PHP files you can try applying this patch to your installation of Jetpack:
