    I have been having some problems with publicize working off and on. I’ll try to explain my setup so hopefully someone can provide some insight…

    For this particular website, there is one main user with a JetPack account that has been properly linked with Facebook/Twitter through the publicize feature of JetPack. This user is set as an administrator to the site. When publishing posts where they are the author, everything seems to work properly.
    There are also several other users that have their role set as “author”. The administrative user is the one going in and selecting one of these authors as the author of the post, and then actually publishing it to the site. It appears that publicize does not work in this case, even though the connections appear to be properly set up on the actual post draft before publishing.

    Does the publicize feature only work when an administrator is set as the author of the post they are publishing?

    When the administrator goes and publish the posts written by other authors on the site, where should the posts be sent to? Were Publicize connections all created by the administrator, and you’d like all posts to sent to those connections? If so, were the connections set as “shared” when you created them?
    If the Publicize connections were created by each author, were they also marked as shared?

    Hi Jeremy,

    Thank you for your help with this. I was not aware that there was a setting to “share” a connection, as that particular setting is only present when initially setting up the connection.

    I’ve removed/reconnected both Facebook and Twitter, this time making sure the “share” option is enabled. I will post again with my results.
