    Jetpack Mechanic ??

Could you click on the “Link account with WordPress.com” link appearing at the top of the page? Once you do so, you’ll be able to manage Publicize settings as well.

    I used my www.remarpro.com I suppose they’re the same.

I can’t enable the twitter posting because the token is invalid. i guess its because I need to make another token or something.

I also can’t get the facebook page to link either

Thanks for the support so far, much appreciated!

They’re not. You will have to create a WordPress.com account here:
    https://wordpress.com/start/jetpack/

Then, link that account to your site using the link at the top of the Publicize settings page. You should then be able to manage Twitter and Facebook posting.

Please note that WordPress.com accounts are different from the account you use to administrate your site. WordPress.com and self-hosted sites available through www.remarpro.com are two different entities.
Please check out the following links to learn the differences.

    https://get.wp.com/

    I hope this helps.

The reason why I say they’re the same is that my site is self-hosted and now that my WP.org account is on my site, I’m able to access the settings.

My problem is that I can’t set it up to share from my facebook page, and I can’t get my twitter linked up.

My settings publicize now looks like my partner’s:

See! So it did work, my problem is configuring the fb and twitter accounts now. I’ll tyr to add another API key.

How do I customize how the posts are shared? Right now it uses the actual article for the share, but I want a custom thing.

    Thanks!

    Excellent!

Could you let me know what error message you get when you try to add a Twitter or Facebook account?

To customize the messages shared on Social Networks, you can use the Publicize box appearing right above the Publish button in the post editor.

I was able to get twitter and share with all users.

Facebook is giving me a problem.
wp.com and wp.org are separate, but they seem to be the same here.

How do I authorize a fb page to post rather than my personal account?

At the end of the Facebook connection process, you’ll be able to choose whether you want to post to your Facebook Profile, or to one of the Facebook Pages where you’re listed as an admin.

    Hey there!

Custom message didn’t change the way my post has been posted. This needs to be fixed. I don’t want to change the way I write to accommodate this. I have meta descriptions and everything else setup.

I’m sure others agree as I’ve researched the forums a tad.

Here’s what my post looks like on fb:

    Here’s my custom message:

I did type a custom message but it disappeared after posting? Doesn’t it save after I do save draft?

Regardless of my opinion, it’s an amazing plugin and you supporting me has been wonderful, so thank you very much

It should, but something must have happened here. We don’t have any custom message saved in our logs either.

The Custom Message does replace the automated excerpt on Facebook in my tests, so I wonder if I followed different steps to publish my test posts. Could you walk me through the steps you followed to publish that post, or try publishing a new post and see if the same happens there?

    Thanks!

I think the correct way is to edit where it has the keyword.

I think it’s part of jetpack or yoast or something but there’s a share icon and I can type a custom message there. I’ll try that.

    Thanks

Hello there. I’m also having an issue. I go to publish my post and I have to refresh my publisise settings. No problem, except both my facebook and twitter accounts show the header is malformed. How do I fix this? I tried removing the accounts by hitting the “times” button I can’t figure out how to get to publisise without going to one of my posts first. I’m using the latest jetpack and wordpress 4.7.

@marrie125 Your site doesn’t seem to be properly connected to WordPress.com at the moment. Could you try the following:

    1) Go the Jetpack menu in your dashboard
    2) Click on “Disconnect Site from WordPress.com” at the bottom of the page if your site is currently connected to WordPress.com.
    3) Confirm the disconnection.
    4) Click on the Connect button to connect your site to WordPress.com again.

If that doesn’t help, can you please use Jetpack’s Debugger module to send us some more information about your site?

    1. Go to the Jetpack page in your dashboard.
    2. Click on the Debug link appearing at the bottom of the page.
    3. Click the link that says “click here to contact Jetpack support.”
    4. Fill in the description box and your name and email address.
    5. Click the “Contact Support” button to send us the debug results privately. It’s best not to post this information on public forums, as it contains private details about your site.

    Thanks!
