Publication date in excerpts

Sorry but where do you want to show the publication date ? In News section on frontpage?

What I’d like is when people see excerpts in the news section that they see the date beneath the headline.
It is important to me that viewers see the date of my posts as they are quite newsy.

Anyone have a fix for this? Otherwise I’ll have to move to a different theme.
