Public newsletter on a membership site : confirmation page requires id

    Hi,
    I have a buddypress site (community with membership), with a public section on which visitors can subscribe to a newsletter. I have created a subscription form which I have inserted on a dedicated page and a confirmation page. I have declared both pages as “unprotected”, which means they can be accessed by not-logged-in visitors.

    Yet, when I try to subscribe as a not-logged-in user, the buddypress identification page is loaded and prevents the acknowledgement message to be displayed. The subscriber is not created.

    If I am logged in it works. But again, if I log out and click on the activation link, the identification page is displayed and prevents me to confirm the inscription.

    The problem seems to be that the URL is redirected.
    How could I solve this problem ?

    Hi there @ikone227,

    I wonder if this might be because you have the Engagement tracking enabled, which would route the clicks/links back to the site through the tracking router/system.

    Please try switching the “Engagement analytics tracking” setting under MailPoet > Settings > Advanced to the “Basic” option and see if that makes a difference.
