I had enabled front end events submissions with event form short code. I enabled anonymous posting of events – however, i made sure the user had only subscriber permission meaning it could submit an event but not publish it. I wanted to approve the submitted events before publication.
Come to find out, events are being publishing directly with no email to me nor approval process – anyone can publish anything on my site!
By the way, I had sent myself the test email and I do get it. But when someone enters an event, it publishes it directly no approval necessary so I shut down submissions for now.
    Please would appreciate your help!
    Thank you!

What user capabilities do you have set for the user role of the “Guest Default User”?

Guest Default User is set to subscriber level with only permissions to edit and delete own events and upload events images

I still need help with this please. I have to have a submission form for my site but it needs to email me for authorization not just publish events.
    Help?!

Help! Please! I have gotten no response. I need to enable event submission on my site but have it go to my email to authorize.
    Please help!

One way to discover which user capabilities are causing the problem would be to activate them all, then deactivate each in turn.
