    Hi guys.

I’ve been using the EAE plugin for years, on dozens of sites. I’m so glad it exists, thanks for creating it. But I wanted to alert you to the fact that after a lot of hair-pulling with a very simple site that uses Ninja Forms and was taking ~20 seconds to load, I finally discovered that the problem disappears when I deactivate this plugin. I can turn other plugins back on to my heart’s content (note here that all the other plugins are similarly time-tested, and there are no special modifications about the site in question) but nothing makes the site slow down like that until I turn EAE back on.

Did you ask the Ninja Forms support about it?

I was in the middle of writing such a message when I decided to start toggling plugins and found EAE to be the culprit.

When you disable Ninja Forms and enable Email Address Encoder, does the site load fast?

Yes, sorry, I should have clarified that. If I have EAE turned on but comment out the form (no need to disabled the actual plugin), the site loads just fine.

Okay, great, in that case it’s an issue with Ninja Forms and how they are using WordPress filters. I’d suggest you either write their support team, or hire a web developer to figure out the exact issue for you. Blackfire.io could come in really handy here.

There isn’t much I can do for you, since this entire plugin is very minimalistic (less than 100 lines of code).

I appreciate the idea, but in this case we can do without the EAE plugin, there’s only one email address on the site and I’ve manually encoded it. ?? I was mainly wanting to let you/everyone know that this is a potential issue, in case someone else runs into the problem. I’ll certainly continue to use your plugin elsewhere, though!
