Proxy Files over https

I am facing the same problem with this plugin. I have a secure (https) domain but proxy files are served over non-secure http, which breaks the page layout. Is there a fix for this?

The proxy checks for HTTPS support using the PHP $_SERVER variable HTTPS. It appears that there are some servers where this variable is undefined.
