I have activated Advanced Ads and followed the steps for connecting my Google AdSense account. I also received confirmation from Google that my site is ready to serve AdSense ads. My URL is in the Adsense account, I believe my site meets all of Google’s requirements, but I’m still not seeing ads on my page. The email from Google says I should see them within a few hours of last night. I’m not sure how to confirm that Advanced Ads has placed the auto ads code on my site. Please help.

Quick update that I am seeing ads when I go to my site on my mobile phone. But I don’t see them on my desktop, how do I fix that? Is there a way to help Google make their ads more specific to my topics and readers?

Lastly, I’d like to see some ads in the left side bar. Thanks for reviewing my site to help me avoid issues and achieve better revenues.

    Hi betterbrained,

    thanks for reaching out.

I can confirm that your AdSense code is placed correctly and also contacting AdSense without an issue.

If you are seeing ads on mobile already then this means that AdSense works. It is quite common that ads start for some devices first. There are even a lot of users reporting here that it works on mobile rather than desktop.

The first days, AdSense will try to understand your traffic and experiment with the number, sizes, and positions of ads. Unfortunately for you, all this is happening automatically. You don’t have any influence on any of this, including the position in the left side bar.

If you decide that you want to have control over the ad positions then you can start creating and placing ads manually as described on https://wpadvancedads.com/place-adsense-ad-unit-manually/.

Please let me know if you need anything else.

Thank you so much, Thomas! Really appreciate your help. One technical issue I can cross of my list.
