    You can add your own IP to Jetpack Protect’s whitelist to avoid this kind of issues. Here is how:
    https://jetpack.me/support/security-features/#unblock

    Thanks you… that work…

    Extra feature added -I apprecaite it adds in a layer of security
    BUT No option to disable it – (what about sites with plugins that have this type of feature enabled) I want to be able to disable your feature, I do not wish to deactivate my chosen plugin to fit in with Jetpack.

    It is written in English,
    The WP site is using the French edition with our audience being 99.99% French native speakers. If your going to add on a feature, then you must proved a working translation that matches the sites language of theat site prefere language >50% of WP sites are no longer use english as their main language.
    I don’t see owners should have to do translation work for a feature n we didn’t ask – but i want the the very least an option to be able to translate the text for my vistors.

    Jetpack was registred with a French language based account –
    english is not used on the front end or backend.

    You can deactivate Jetpack Protect by going to Jetpack > Settings in your dashboard, and clicking on “Deactivate” next to the Protect module.

    You can find out more about deactivating Jetpack modules here:
    https://jetpack.me/support/activate-and-deactivate-modules/

    If your going to add on a feature, then you must proved a working translation that matches the sites language

    Jetpack comes with French translation files, including translations for each string in the plugin. Did you find an untranslated string somewhere in the plugin settings screen, or anywhere on your site? We might have missed and forgotten to translate one of the strings, but if you let me know where you found untranslated strings I’ll make sure they’re translated in the next release!

    You can find out more about how to use Jetpack in a different language here:

    Jeremy,

    Thank you for the fix for the “Prove Your Humanity Thing.” I followed your instructions and it worked fine!

    -Bob

    Hi Jeremy,

    jetpack/modules/protect/math-fallback.php, line 104 :

    <div style="margin: 5px 0 20px;">
    	<strong>Prove your humanity: </strong>
    	<?php echo $num1 ?> &nbsp; + &nbsp; <?php echo $num2 ?> &nbsp; = &nbsp;
    	<input type="input" name="jetpack_protect_num" value="" size="2" />
    	<input type="hidden" name="jetpack_protect_answer" value="<?php echo $ans; ?>" />
    </div>

    Phrase “Prove your humanity” hard coded.

    Regards

    Can someone help me? I’m locked out of my web site admin now so I cannot log in and make the changes suggested here. I used to be able to bypass the really annoying “Prove your humanity” prompt by using <domain>/wp-admin.php instead of <domain>/wp-admin but now even that doesn’t work any longer.

    Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

    -Luis

    This may works. (never tried this myself)
    as you have a wordpress.com account.
    have you tried uising the account(the alias) and the (wp.com) passwd.
    Good luck.
    Option 2 – FTP into and delete the Jetpack-plugin.
    at the next login your back to the pure passwd recovery process
    -Once your back in re install Jetpack and turn off “The Human check” in the settings.

    @lr94512 You can follow the instructions here to unblock yourself:
    https://jetpack.me/support/security-features/#unblock

    Since you don’t have access to your dashboard, you’ll need to use option 2 or 3.

    @meat06 Good call. I’ll make sure this can be translated. We’ll add the string to our .po file and make it translatable in the next Jetpack release.

    I followed all the instructions to the letter but this issue has now completely locked me out my site for days now. Nothing I’ve tried has worked. I deleted the Jetpack and Akismet plugins and reset my password using the password recovery mechanism and it will not let me past the log in screen. If anyone can help, please help me, I don’t know what to do and I’ve already got a huge amount of time invested in this site.

    Hello Jeremy,

    I have the same translation problem in PT-BR (Even my WordPress is set in another language, the field shows in english). How I can help and translate the strings in Brazilian Portuguese?

    Few months ago I found a website with most of common strings used in WordPress, do you have anything similar to Jetpack strings?

    And one question: What is the rules to show the field? Because I never saw it and my client ask me why I put this new field, I don’t know explain in which circumstances the “prove your humanity” will appears.

    https://jetpack.me/support/getting-started-with-jetpack/how-can-i-install-jetpack-in-my-language/

    The “prove your humanity” string is not translateable yet, but it will be added to the list of strings in the coming few weeks.

    The field appears when you’ve activated Jetpack’s Protect module, and when Jetpack can’t connect to the Protect API when someone tries to log in.
