    Hi,

I have my website where I have some files (PDF) attached. Some are open to anyone accessing the website (catalogues), but I want some files to be just available to registered users. I’d like them to see the file name (logged in and non logged users) and when clicking on it – if the user is logged in to be abble to access to it, and if it is not, to have a pop up asking for login details. How can I do that? How can I protect a singles PDF file from being downloaded by non logged users?

    Thank you so much

Hi, please check the following documentation. Let me know if this is what you are referring too?

    Thank you

Hello! Thank you for the quick response.

That’s not quite what I’m looking for as it will hide the content. I’d like the users (both logged and non logged ones) to see the file name, but in some way to protect it and let just logged ones access to it when clicking. (I will set a pop up for the non logged ones so they can login in their account or register.)

Hi, in that case perhaps you might like to try the following plugin Simple Download Monitor.

Let me know if this would work for you.

    Kind regards

I’ll give it a try, it seems what I was looking for.

    Thanks!
