• I have read a couple of threads but could not find a fix… I am using 1.0.1. I write an entry, designate the password but when someone tries to log in to view the entry, it will just display the password entry box and not let them view the post. I have double checked my settings and the posts are published and the password is correct. This happens with IE and Firebird/Firefox.
Is there any way to fix this?
Updated to add… I can view the post if I click on the permalink for that post. Any idea what is happening?

    Thanks!

Ok, I am able to see the protected posts but others still can’t. I have double checked the settings yet again and everything is correct. Anyone have any idea what the problem could be? Losing my mind over this one! ??
    Thanks!!!

Just upgraded to the nightly build. Still having this problem. It is only on the index page that protected posts can’t be viewed.
Anyone have any ideas at all? Pretty please?? ??
    Thanks!

In your WordPress settings, what is the URL for your website? Does it include “www” or not?
If it does, just remove the “www.” part and then the problem will go away.
The issue is with cookies. The front page doesn’t have a www while the permalink does. For a cookie, these are two different locations. The cookie in this case is set with the www preceding the domain name, so it’s normal that it can only be read on your permalinks.
You can demo that by just loading https://www.jellybean-dreams.net instead of jellybean-dreams.net: you should see your protected entry since the cookie would work.
