• Hi We are facing a strange issue. We have a few protected pages protected by this plugin. It asks a user to login and when the user logs in the admin bar etc are visible, that tells us that the user is logged in, but the content area still asks to login.

Now I have double checked the user and his access levels, its not the problem. I tried checking the debug log file and its empty.

    Can you help?

The site is hosted on pantheon

Hi, can you make sure the user has the proper credentials to view the content of those pages? Or are you referring to protected content in posts?

Hi, Thanks for your reply. I am referring to the protected content. I have a login/logout link at the top of the page and it shows that the user is logged in, it also displays the adminbar, bit for some reason the protected content area remains locked and there is a messsage asking to login again.

Once I remove protection, the page displays normally to all users.

I would like to know whether the plugin requires any file write permissions on the server?

Hi, I have reached a kind of conclusion that the plugin uses a variable to store the loggedin information. When my user logs in via the plugin login form, I can see all details etc on that page, but the moment he goes to a new page that logged in information is lost. Does the plugin need a file write permission anywhere on the server?

Hi, you did not answer my question about protected content in posts. There is extra steps you can take when protecting content in posts which is different to protecting content in a page.

If you are protecting the content in a post you can also enable Category protection in this plugin. If you are protecting content in a post then you could also try the following addon.

Is the user you are testing, an admin user or a normal user?

Hi. Thanks for your reply. I am protecting the full page not certain content. The user is a normal user. On login page it shows all the information of the user once he logs in, so I presume the login form is working fine an I can see his name, level information etc. But as I move away from the page all information goes away. Does the plugin use sessions? That could be an issue on pantheon servers

Can you carry out the following troubleshooting steps.

    Thank you

Hi, I tried to follow the troubleshooting steps, no other theme or plugin is installed except for this plugin.

To debug this, how do we compare cookies used by the plugin? Any steps you can give to lead us to the right track?

    Thank you
