Protected page displaying Unsupported Browser message to Edge Users

  • I have a very strange issue which I cannot put down to Microsoft Edge or WordPress.
    Basically, I have a protected area of our website and anyone trying to get that page using Microsoft Edge is being given an unsupported browser message.
    This can’t be right because Edge is the latest version there is so I’m wondering if there’s a known issue with Edge and whether there is a workaround?
    All other aspects of the site seem to work fine on Edge.

    Any help or pointers would be gratefully received.

    This may be a plugin or theme thing. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and use one of the default (Twenty*) themes. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of your troubles.

    FWIW, I went to the page with Chrome and was told I’m using IE7 so whatever is doing this is doing it wrong.
