protect image and gallery

Dear Sirs, thx for your nice plugin.
They work perfectly after NextGen experience (…) but I’m unable to set any kind of protection for image or gallery.
I need to be able to authorize a visitor to download some images and block usual visitor of my site. How can I do it ?
