    Hey,

In a normal setup the external link will not expose, the plugin generates a /download/ID/ URL thus protecting your direct file URL. Or am I misunderstanding the question?

    Kind Regards,

Hi, thanks for answer, with external link I mean that my files are on antoher cloud memory not there where my wordpress installation is. So if someone clicks on the downloadlink he will redirect to the file so that he can see the link of this file on the cloud memory. This URL is not protected for sharing. How can I fix this?

Why did you set it as resolved, the problem is not resolved.

Sorry about that, I’ve must have done that by accident. If your files are hosted elsewhere and therefor you need to redirect to the actual URL I suggest you use expiring links. Our Amazon S3 extension (https://www.download-monitor.com/extensions/amazon-s3/) has support for and will calculate these expiring links so that each URL is uniquely generated upon request and only valid for 15 minutes.
