    Hey

I wonder if Antispam Bee can help to prevent spam coming from contact forms?

Sometimes I use Forminator, sometimes Gravity Forms and sometimes Fluent Forms. They all come with a honeypot protection, but it’s not blocking spam-messages from human spammers.

But since the content and sender mail being used in spam-messages via contact forms is often equal to those in spam-comments, I wonder how to use ASB for contact forms too.

Any idea about how to enhance the spam-protection on contact forms?

Thank you in advance and kind regards,
    Sascha

    Hi @saschinger

as we are already write in our FAQ this is not the case at the moment:

Does Antispam Bee prevents spam registrations or protects form plugins?

Antispam Bee works best with default WordPress comments. It does not help to protect form plugins and does not prevent spam registrations. Hopefully we can provide better hooks for third party plugins to use Antispam Bee to fill this gap in the forthcoming new major version.

A good contact form plugin should use the built-in blocklist feature:

Maybe your form plugins support that? This helps especially against manual spam (no bots), which are much harder to tackle automatically.

    Hope this helps!

    All the best
    Torsten
