• Hello, I have installed the genesis prose extras plugin, yet when I place a widget in the home top, left, or right sections, all content on the blog disappears except for sidebar widgets. So, all I have on the homepage would be whatever widgets I place in the new prose extra widgetized areas and the sidebar. What must I do differently? Thank you.

    @seanerin72:
    Hi there!

    Thanks for your feedback!

    What you describe is just the intended behavior of having a “widgetized homepage”. It’s the very same approach that other Genesis child themes use that come with that by default.

    But as you also said, it’s only when you place in widgets to these – optional – areas! So, it’s fully optional/ automatic.

    If you even not want these widget areas at all, just go to my plugin’s setting page and uncheck them.

    However, if you want to use them and still want your blog posts on the home page – among other content – just try to use one or more instances of the “Genesis Featured Posts” widget. This will bring a lot of possibilities that are not possible with standard blog post listing that is the default in Prose.

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks, Dave ??
