    Hello all. I am trying to build a new site for a friend but we cannot get ProPlayer to work. When I try to activate the plugin, I get an error stating-

    Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘]’ , expecting ‘(‘ in [home/content/t/a/r/hosting/testsite/wp-content/plugins/proplayer/pro-player.php on line 65

    If I look at that line in the file, I see the following-

    $id = $others[Constants::$ID_KEY].uniqid(‘pp-single-‘);

    I am at a loss for this error. I tried messaging the author of the plugin but never got a response. I have another site using the same exact hosting and do not get a failure. The only difference is the working site is still running 2.9.2 and we’re using a subdomain for this test site. Can anyone explain what might be happening here?

    Sorry to bump this, but I am still having the same problem and hope that I can get some assistance. I contacted the maker of the plugin and he said it seems like my database is not PHP 5 but given that our other site works fine and appears to be PHP5, I’m not sure where else to turn.

    Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
