Thanks for reaching out. If you’ve just created a new account and associated properties then I suspect you’ve created Google Analytics 4 properties. At present Site Kit supports the Universal Type Analytics property, although we do plan on providing support for Google Analytics 4 going forward as more users migrate.

You’ll find the differences between the two property types here. If you don’t have a Universal Type property within your Site Kit connected account you can create one by selecting “Setup a new property” within the property dropdown.

Note that it’s also possible to use Google Tag Manager to include a Google Analytics 4 property alongside a Site Kit supported Universal type property. We have some instructions on the plugins website.

Let me know if you have any questions on the above.

Using Google Tag manager do you mean that I can manage both proprieties (Universal and New 4 using Tag), right?
Ok but doing this (I mean using Tag Manager), Google Site Kit is not required… I don’t need your tool if I manage the Analytics scripts using Tag.

You are correct, if you use Google Tag Manager you can place a Google Analytics 4 property snippet, alongside your Site Kit or manually inserted Universal Type property.

Site Kit is not required in this case. If you’re looking to view your Analytics dashboards within your WordPress admin panel this is where Site Kit can be useful. You can also use Site Kit to insert other product snippets and gain insights on how your website is performing from your wp-admin dashboard.

Let me know if you have any further questions on this and I’d be happy to help.

But inserting 2 Google Analytics code can’t generate issues in my site stats??

Another question, can I create old Google Analytics script and link using Site Kit without Tag manager? and use Tag Manager only for GA4?

    Thanks

Using one Google Analytics 4 and a Universal Type property together is no problem. You’ll even find a Google guide here. In addition here is a guide that displays both snippets if you prefer to insert your snippets manually.

You can indeed, there is no requirement to connect the Tag Manager module in order to activate Analytics via Site Kit. You can then choose to connect the Tag Manager module if you wish, including Google Analytics 4 if that’s your preference.
