• I am an agent in Albuquerque NM and our board switched to FlexMLS last year. I signed up for the premium IDX in December with WP Plugin and have since created 100’s of pages using the plugin. Here are a few things I like. The MLS and Client Portal integration, syncing allows clients that we have on a Portal to do their own searches on the custom site and save properties and searches. Also like the Neighborhood Templates pages, it make it easy and fast to create area specific search pages. The biggest feature is that you have no limit to the search customizations. Since the IDX is synced with your full MLS you really do not have any limit on the search criteria… if you can search it in the MLS, you can create an IDX search for it (of course as long as its’ public data).
I have used IDX Broker as well and would say some things are better with Flex and IDX Broker has a few features that Flex doses not have. Not a big deal, just different. I will say Flex is faster for building custom pages but does not have as many SEO options as IDX Broker. Anyway, if your MLS is using FlexMLS I would recommend it.
Be prepared for a little learning curve, but once you get it you can quickly create custom pages.
