Are you in Canada ? or elsewhere ?
I can speak directly to listings and CREA etc. from Canada.
I still don’t get it. If this is all you have from the client, then strongly suggest you get more details from him! Lol.
So the Property Management application would be the parent, and the website would be the child ?
Are you expecting to only show the listings that the client or broker owns, or everyone ? and in a particular area? or all over ?
There is way too much to guess here to provide solid advice.
In my real estate agent cases :
– my client is a single agent at a brokerage
– each of the listings that are being directly sold from the agent are manually entered into WordPress
– the listings that are being sold from their particular brokerage is aggregated using a daily cron.
– the DDF from CREA is build in the property mngt. application based on my criteria re: location, price, property type, etc
– when the listing is removed from MLS, it is NOT removed from the website (which sucks). But it’s the best we can do right now.
In the case of Buildium, they have an open API available here :
https://www.buildium.com/features/open-api
Assuming that Buildium is the parent, then the WordPress site could pretty easily go and get the data from there, and insert. However, it will not (out of the box) fit into the work you have done in Houzez. You would need a cusomt post type in order to render each of the listings that coem from Buildium.
In Canada, CREA is your only option, so thankfully it’s build once then implemented across multiple site with little interruption or updates.
I don’t know about other countries, etc.
But my 2 cents is that you have to get way way more information from your client to understand their expectations. It’s not something you can usually just slap on at the end. However, more $$$ for you! ??
