Thanks for the development of Teachpress, this is truly a wonderful and complete plugin.

I would like to understand what are the proper uses of the two shortcodes [tpsearch] and [tplist]. I would like to be able to display the list of publications using [tplist], following specific criteria to sort the publications (pagination, year, etc.). I would also like to display a search field ([tpsearch]) above the list of publications. When something is entered, then the search result would be displayed instead of the full list of publications.

Currently, using conjointly [tpsearch] and [tplist] works, but when something is searched, both the result of the search and the full list of publications appear.

Is there a way to use [tpsearch] to: (1) display search results when something was entered in the search field, and (2) display the full list of publications when nothing was entered in the search field ?

    Thanks a lot,

    Nicolas

    Hi Nicolas,

    (1) That’s currently not possible.

    (2) That’s possible with the “as_filter” option of [tpsearch]. So try it with [tpsearch template="tp_template_2016" as_filter="true" ].

    Hi,

Thanks a lot for your answer.
    I totally missed the as_filter option ??
