Proper page/rewrite/slug/etc usage?
-
I’m looking at moving over to MEC from my previous event/calendar plugin but had a few questions that are probably pretty basic, but it’s late and I’m tired and may not just be figuring it out haha.
With the previous plugin, I had a main /events page that was basically a list of upcoming events. From there, there were subpages at /events/tournaments, /events/club-events, and /events/calendar that gave a calendar view instead of the list view found at the /events page.
I’m just trying to figure out what the general structure/philosophy of the plugin is, and whether there are pages used for a main archive/list/events home page, or it’s just using rewrite based off of the slug defined.
Checking the docs for archive pages (https://webnus.net/dox/modern-events-calendar/archive-pages/) and slug options (https://webnus.net/dox/modern-events-calendar/slug-options/), there really isn’t anything of any substance available that points out what is really going on here.
Could anyone point me in the right direction of how this is really meant to be structured in MEC? Thanks for the help!
