Proofread not working

I am having the same problem… getting an error 500 and a message about an ajax problem… If you hit update or publish again it does work but it is annoying as I like to use it… ??

This has happened since the latest update yesterday. Using the latest wordpress release.

I’m also having the same problem with the proofreading service not working. Again I updated jetpack yesterday and have had problems ever since.

This is preventing me from saving.

I find the proofreading useless anyway. Can I turn it off?

What is off topic? We are all discussing the apparently useless proofreading tool.

These forums have guidelines. Please read them. As you will see, one of these guidelines – entitled Where to Post – specifically states:

Unless you are using the same version of WordPress on the same physical server hosted by the same hosts with the same plugins, theme & configurations as the original poster, do not post in someone else’s thread. Start your own topic.

Please abide by this.

Wow, this place is like a concentration camp. Nobody ever tries to help anyway, so it’s pretty pointless.

Thank you all for the reports. We’re aware of the issue, and we’ll release a fix very soon. In the meantime, you can apply the fix to your copy of Jetpack by replacing modules/after-the-deadline/proxy.php by this version of the file:
