I updated the plugin to the latest version and updated the database, getting the message:

“User Access Manager database was updated successfully”

but I now get persistently at the top of every page-

“Please update the database of the User Access Manager. Click here to proceed”

The strange thing is that when I did this on my staging server, the message went away after “user access manager database updated”, but in production it did not clear. I have cleared the cache.

Other than that, as far as I can tell it is working OK.

Unfortunately, this update database message shows up in the back end for non-admin users which is not ideal.

    Thanks!

Do you have the multisite feature enabled? Maybe the reason is that you didn’t make a network update. I will hide the promt in the next version for normal users.

No, it is not on multisite. Thanks for your quick response!

Ok really strange. Could you have a look at your database. At the table wp_options there should an entry ‘uam_db_version’ change it to 1.4 and the promt should be gone.

    It says:
    option_id 5442
    option_name uam_db_version
    option_value 1.4
    autoload yes

Sorry – The notice is gone now. Not sure why it was showing for so long after I cleared caches on the server and logged in on two different browsers, but never mind. Must have been caching anyway, since the message went away immediately on the staging site, and it does not have caching. Thank you for your attention!

I’m having a similar problem. I just upgraded UAM from 1.4 to 2.0.6.
    The UAM Settings reports:

“Choose a backup to revert the database to this user access manager database version. Note: The user access manager database version differs from the user access manager version.
    Delete a database backup
    1.4 delete now
Choose a backup to delete. Note: That cannot be undone.”

    Wordpress Version 4.7.4
    DB Table wp_options shows uam_db_version = 1.5

@mphhpm That’s not an issue. UAM now creates a backup of the UAM tables, which you can restore. If everything works fine you can delete it or just leave it, it’s up to you.

I have the same problem and i cant figure it out what is wrong. Can I get payed support please? I need this fixed please Alex! Thanks a lot

I encountered this problem too but resolved it with UAM network deactivation followed by reactivation.
