• Hi! When I want to put a different menu item in promotion (widget) I get the list with all the menu items to select from, apparently in random order which makes it very difficult to find something. So I have to scroll through a list of more than 200 of menu items to choose an item from.
Is it not possible to generate this list in alphabetical order, or at least to subdivide it in the menu sections? This would definitely improve working with the Food and Drink Menu plugin.

    Hello Digitalhombre,

Just to be clear, are you talking about the “Food and Drink Menu Item” widget, and the “Menu Item” dropdown box in that widget? If so, then there is currently no option to change the order of the options in that dropdown. We can look into the possibility of implementing something like that in a future update.

@jaysupport That is correct, the “Menu Item” dropdown box in the FDM item widget. I will not be the only one who will find an alphabetical dropdown list very useful. Thanks in advance!

In the latest update (2.0.7) it is mentioned that the menu item widget now has an alphabetical dropdown list. Yet this list is not alphabetical in my website. I have already created a new menu item widget, but the list remains random.
Maybe this update only works with new installations and that is a pity, I am not going to re-enter all +200 menu items.

It’s not only with new installations, it’s with all installations. Just to be clear, the list that was changed to alphabetical is the dropdown that shows on the admin side, when creating/editing the widget. Nothing was changed for the front end display.

That is what I mean, on the admin side, when using the food and drink menu item widget. There is a dropdown list but not alfabetical, just at random or maybe by order of input. See the OP.

Yes, and we changed this because of your request. It’s definitely there in the new version. If you aren’t seeing it, then maybe the update didn’t fully go through for you. Try deleting the plugin (you won’t lose any data) and re-installing the latest version fresh.

Thanks for following my request. Sadly, it does not work om my website, even after your suggestion of deleting the plugin and reinstalling.
I am not using the premium plugin, maybe there is a difference?
