Promo codes are displayed to users

    In the last two days, users who enter promo codes intended for specific users have started appearing to me. A customer told me that when he clicked on the option “Have a Promo Code?” then he was offered some of the promo codes. I also have a picture he sent me of being offered promo codes himself. A past customer told me the same thing.

    PS. I disabled promo codes right now until I find a solution for this error.

    Please double check if the promo code restriction settings are set up properly. Here is the documentation for your reference: https://woocommerce.com/document/coupon-management/#usage-restriction

    If all is set correctly, can you please confirm if your using any plugin for the promo codes? Please share a copy of your site’s System Status. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

    But what option would freely give clients promo codes, this should not be the normal case. I don’t use any plugin for promo codes.

    I tried by myself and if you click on Have a Promo Code button you get a whole bunch of promo codes.

    I tried testing this on my test site which has the latest versions of WordPress, WooCommerce and our free Storefront theme as the only enabled software. When doing so I’ve not been able to replicate the behavior which you describe – any coupon codes were not offered.

    My question is – the list of promo codes that you are offered – are they current and functional? Or are they from the past?

    In either case, please clear your browser cache as explained in this guide.

    If the problem doesn’t resolve still, then I would recommend that you check whether the issue persists when you change to a default WP theme like Twenty Twenty-One or Storefront, and deactivate all plugins apart from WooCommerce. Here’s the conflict test guide for reference: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

    If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict.

    You can test this out on a staging site using a plugin like WP Staging, if your host doesn’t offer a staging platform already.

    I think I know what could cause this problem.
    I have Woocommerce Side Cart Premium, and this button “Have a Promo Code” is there, also it stays there even though I turned off Promo Codes

    EDIT: That’s it. I located the problem
