Promo code that does not work depending on the type of discount chosen

I checked your site again and replicated the orders on this screenshot, applied the coupon code HalloWin!-test and it was applied successfully as seen below:

Have you tried changing the type of discount? By switching from % to fixed cart discount and vice versa to test. Here is the problem.

We are not able to change the coupon type on your store — however, we use a number of real-world test cases in our day-to-day development workflow and haven’t noticed any similar issues with fixed discount coupons. I was also unable to trigger any issues on my local site, which indicates the issue is with your specific setup.

Do you currently have a ‘fixed discount’ coupon code we can use to replicate the issue on your site? You could create one as a test.

Moreover, could you let me know what error you see? What is the exact issue with the fixed discount coupon?

From what I gather, when the discount type is change for a given coupon, then it stops working. Correct?

I’m afraid I was unable to reproduce this on a test installation of mine. Changing the coupon discount type worked as expected in the front end.

Since this type of error usually points to a theme/plugin conflict, I suggest checking out “How to test for plugin and theme conflicts“.
