    Hi,
I am trying to find out what the point of “Projects” in the side menu is.

There are Pages, Posts and Projects.

When would you use Projects? Why do they exist in the Dashboard but no one explains what they are for?

I was trying to use the Project-pages for membership content to keep it separate from the Blog posts and main Pages. Now I am concerned that the membership plugins can’t actually protect the PROJECTS-pages.

Please help bring clarity into this for me.
    Many thanks

This is not a core WordPress thing; it’s from either your theme or a plugin. I suggest contacting the developers of your theme.

I don’t think so: it is maybe a recent core element, I just started my WP subscription through an Italian hosting system and I’ve never seen giving things for free!
Documentation on it is not existent; I was looking for help because there are some features that are not perfectly clear, for instance how to refer to Excerpts of Projects in some dynamic content pages.
Some days around looking for docs, but nothing.

    No, it is NOT core.

Jetpack has a custom post type option that offers “projects”, IIRC.

Yes, sorry, I’ve seen on a minor site I built up some years ago that there is not.

How can I discover the Plugin or Theme author involved in the Projects item?

Disable plugins one at a time until it goes away.

Ok, I found it is an item coming with Divi Builder by Elegant Themes.
Thank you Steven, I’ll ask them!
