Project page is showing featured image in header

I love this theme, but in using the featured image for the project gallery, now the actual project page is displaying the featured image in the header. This looks awful. The actual project page needs to have the image in the page content area, not the header. Unless you have another workaround, I suppose all I can do is create a duplicate project item page and force the thumbnail in the gallery to go to it. Not sure what else to do. Suggestions would be helpful.
