Prohibited or invalid use of HTML Tag (Critical issue)

I have been to your website and everything working as supposed.

However, errors in search console are quite common. I recommend you obtain Error page URLs from search console validate them in https://validator.ampproject.org/ It helps you to understand the reason behind those errors.

Hey @chadeel

It’s just a warning. We are already aware of it and we are currently working on it. Very soon we are going to fix this, and you can see this issue resolved in future updates.

Hi there,

first of many thanks for your easy-to-use plugin! I really enjoy it. Nevertheless i experienced some issues with it quite recently.

My domain has not shown any critical issues for the last month, but last week suddenly there are several citical issues regarding “Prohibited or invalid use of HTML Tag”, “Invalid CSS stylesheet”, “Prohibited HTML Tag with AMP equivalent”, “AMP markup missing or incorrect” and “User-authored JavaScript found on page”.

It really surprises me to see these errors, since I have not changed anything major on my site since the last weeks.

I’m so glad you posted this. I’m experiencing the same thing. In my case I changed some pages yesterday, so I thought it was something I did. But then I saw that some pages with issues had not been changed.

Hi @spabari,

I guess you are using some social sharing plugin which is adding width in div and that is not allowed in AMP.

Try to deactivate that plugin and check.

Hi I am getting these errors:
Details:
Invalid URL protocol ‘http:’ for attribute ‘src’ in tag ‘img’.
The attribute ‘displaytext’ may not appear in tag ‘span’.
The attribute ‘st_url’ may not appear in tag ‘span’.
The attribute ‘st_title’ may not appear in tag ‘span’.
The attribute ‘sizes’ may not appear in tag ‘img’.

I am getting error in my 26 pages kindly help me to fix it.
