• First, the progress bar stays gray for me in Chrome.

Second, when I click the Build Database Tables link, it doesn’t complete. It’s probably related to timeout issues I’ve been having on my server (where occasionally a page – especially a complicated one – will just timeout with no errors). But the script should really have a way around that. For example, checking if the tables already exist and skipping them if they do. Or at least a manual install option.

Hi, BrentNewland. Sorry to hear that you’re having problems getting the plugin setup. Would it be possible to deactivate other plugins and then try clicking “Build Database Tables”, just to be sure there are no other plugins causing problems?

Also, the NWS Alerts plugin keeps track of the build database tables progress on the back end and will skip tables that are already built. Also, if you’re having problems with it timing out you can just reload the NWS Alerts settings page and click “Build Database Tables” again and it will pick up where it left off. The gray progress bar will not show any progress until it gets a response from the server, so it may appear that it’s at zero percent even if it’s not. Please wait at least 2-3 minutes between reloading and trying again to be sure it’s actually timed out.

Also, thanks for including an image of the JS console error. Does your site happen to be running behind a proxy?
