Profile upload on frontend

Hi,

I’m referring to this post WP User Avatar Front End Update Avatar here.

I’ve created functionality that ables to upload a profile picture from the frontend via ajax. Everything is working fine, it can upload and save to the database but the current problem I encountered is when saving/uploading the photo, it doesn’t set as a profile picture because it doesn’t create a post from the library.

Is there any way of doing this? I’m not sure if this is a proper way of doing an upload but if there is a way. Can anyone suggest how to do it?
