Profile picture upload error

  • Hello,

    I am trying to upload a profile picture in the edit profile section. When I click on the camera icon, the popup opens and I select the image and click on the “Upload” button.

    However, It says that “Invalid image” or “Image is too large”.

    Where my image is 250*250 and I have set profile image size 250 in settings called “upload”. I have also set that same size in profile form.

    If I create a new custom field in Profile form then still, I get the same error.

    Please help me with this.

    Hi @kunjal123

    Could you check that you have GD or Imagick PHP library active on your server?

    Also, you could try to upload WP native Media and let me know if the result is successful.

    I am having the same error, and I have checked that both GD and Imagick are active; it has not solved the issue. Plus, I have noticed that the member directory no long shows up for me. Help? Lisa Beavers

    Could you try to upload media files via WP native Media Uploader (wp-admin > Media > Add new)? Does it work on your website?

    Regarding Member Directory please clarify the details, do you see any errors in the page (PHP or JS in the webbrowser Console)? Screenshots, screencasts or links will be helpful.

    Yes, i have no problem uploading the same media files via WP native media uploader.

    The directory was working completely correctly the last time I looked. Today it is not showing any members but otherwise looks normal. I even tried creating a new membership directory, in case maybe the original had gotten corrupted somehow, but got the same results. I can send you a screen shot of anything you like if you’ll tell me where to send it.

    I have the same issue with the custom upload file field

    It works in the registration?form but the same field gives back the following error within the profile form (the file size allowed is set on unlimited and the file type is selected): “This image is too large!”

    Any idea how can I fix it?
