• Hi
Having issues with the profile page. I haven’t done any customisation, just trying to get the basic features working.

    1. The messages “Your profile is looking a bit empty” / “This user hasn’t entered any information” ALWAYS show, regardless of whether there is any information in the profile or not. What is the logic behind this? Have I missed some setting?

    2. I have tried to enable the FB/Twitter social links in the profiles but these NEVER show, nor does there appear to be any way to edit/insert this information. When selecting ‘edit profile’ all I am able to do (Either as admin or user) is to change/upload the pictures or write in the bio field. I have managed to get the ‘Member since xx’ date showing but no social links.

    Hi @mpbaweb,

    1. Does your site have cache?
    2. Can you please check if your site has cache plugin or varnish installed on your server?

    Thanks.

    Definitely do NOT have Varnish

Also seems caching is not switched on:

Kind of resolved the Social links missing. Didn’t realise you had to edit the user profile form in order to add them. Also the fields appear in the wrong place below the icon bar. How do I move them above it?

I still have the problem of the “Your profile is looking a bit empty” / “This user hasn’t entered any information” even if the profile has clearly been updated. I have switched the message off completely as it was just misleading. Can you offer any solution to this?

I’m having same problem.. where or how do you access fields so users can add this info. “Education, Employer, Media, etc..”

to make profile like this one.. https://ultimatememberdemo.com/user/tomsmith/

It seems you have to add the other fields yourself by editing the existing profile Page or by creating a new custom page. Unfortunately, this is not made clear anywhere. It’s a great Plugin, but out of the box the features are not quite as accessibile as you might think.
The page editor itself however, is imho very clunky. This is not Ultimate Members fault though, it’s just Worpress itself. It’s just so unintuitive and has no wysiwyg builder. Lots of trial and error.
