Profile fields on Member Card

    I want a User Profile system that will only have user Profiles.

    It won’t be used to do anything else. All the Groups, Friends, Messages, Notifications and so on, will be disabled.

    There are only Two things I want to know, if they can be possible using ProfileGrid:

    1.) PROFILE FIELDS ON MEMBER CARD
    If you look at this– https://prnt.sc/PDyaj9A2Y9a8

    You would see that the Profile Fields of Date of Birth and Profession are on each Member’s card.

    Would it be possible to show the Profile Fields of the Member on the Profile Cards?

    2.) SORTING ORDER
    When users are created/ signed up, they do have different IDs assigned to them by WordPress.

    I would need certain 4 Members to always be in number 1,2, 3, and 4, irrespective of their User ID. Then other users will follow onwards.

    Is there any feature in ProfileGrid that allows me to sort users by User ID?

    Hello @gamicord,

    You can display a profile field on profile cards on the group page by enabling the option ‘Display on Group Page’ under the ‘Display on Profile Page’ setting in the field settings.

    The plugin offers four sorting options for profile cards on the group page: ‘Oldest,’ ‘Newest,’ ‘First Name,’ and ‘Last Name.’ You can change the default sorting from ‘User Profiles’ > ‘Global Settings’ > ‘General’ in the dashboard. Please check this to see if it helps you.

    The challenge I have with ProfileGrid, and why I have not gone ahead to install it, is that– while reading through your Documentation, you said that Groups are your starting Point.

    Inferring from your statement that “Groups are your starting Point” — means that every user must belong to a Group, even if it is the default Group.

    But I don’t want my Users to belong to any Group.

    The website is just a Data Storage website— where we just want to have their Picture, Date of Birth and Profession, as you can see here– https://prnt.sc/IoxUrancsRBz

    The users will not interact with themselves, they will not be in any Group, they will not send Messages to themselves, or do anything else on the website.

    Is this kind of Use Case possible with ProfileGrid?– a use case where the users will not interact with themselves, they will not be in any Group, and will not send Messages to themselves?

    Can I use ProfileGrid to run such a basic system?

    Plugin works based on the group structure and in order to use the plugin features, user should be member of at least one group.

    Let us know if you have any other questions.

    Is there a way to sort by nickname? I am using company names in the nickname field and would prefer to sort my group by Company name and not first name or last name.
