Profile editing does not work

    Hello
    I am running a couple of different websites with the latest version of wp. In both instances a user profile has been set up. One is running Learndash, The other a forum. Both generate profiles and both enable profiles editing.
    When the user clicks on the link to edit profile, they expect to be taken to profile.php. That does not happen and they are taken to the front page of the site.
    This behavior does not appear to be directly related to the plugins I use but perhaps is. It feels more like a wp setting or related issue.

    Any assistance appreciated.

    This may be a plugin or theme conflict. Please attempt to disable all plugins, and switch to the default Twenty Twenty theme. If the problem goes away, enable them one by one to identify the source of the problem.

    If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

    Thank you so much @macmanx . I keep forgetting about plugin conflicts in wp. I will try your solution.
