Profile Directory

  • Im seeking to find a plugin for displaying a page of profiles. These profiles are brief and would only include fields like “nickname”, “zip code”, a profile pic that someone can upload, “hobbies”, etc..

    I dont need each member of this directory to have to register on the site (they wont be writing for us) but I just need a way that either they can fill out a form requiring me to approve it before it reaches the live “Members Page”….or some way for me and other publishers to manually enter in the info received in email or a form.

    Plugins I did see but were not entirely happy with: Profiler and Extended Profile

    Any ideas on how I might do this? Im likely thinking it will be a plugin and thus the reason why I put it here but Im open to suggestions of any kind.

    bump. I did just try Alkiva and Extended User Profile. Still doesnt seem to be what I seek.

    To be honest you would expect a feature like this on something like wordpress… I have installed today – first time playing with it….

    You can do something like this with Joomla there are addons such as community builder and forum plugins….. seems a bit more powerful so might use this instead for my blog…not finished playing though
