Profile avatar not working

    Hi,

    We have a custom image field (avatar) in the user profile. While we can upload and image and it replaces the gravatar image within the backend, it doesn’t pull through correctly (dynamically) on the front end, the gravatar shows instead. Or if the user doesn’t have a gravatar it shows the standard blank avatar image.

    Any known bugs that would cause this?

    Then something happened with your update. I checked here, also using Elementor Pro, and both the “User Profile Picture” and the “Author Profile Picture” work perfectly.

    Also in the WordPress backend it shows up everywhere correctly except:
    – User edit page (since this is the actual Gravatar)
    – Profile edit page (since this is the actual Gravatar)
    – Discussion page (user avatar preview options).

    These locations will not be overwritten since that is WordPress core and Pods shouldn’t interfere with that as it could break things.

    Could you try clearing your cache? Pods > Settings > Clear Pods Cache.
    It could be that there is some leftover cache due to the pre-release update.

    I’m sorry, I’ve cleared cache, I checked everything. It isn’t working for me.

    Yeah but the version number won’t change with a single change I make to the patch.
    If you downloaded the and re-installed the above package an hour ago it should be the latest version.

    Then I have no idea what is different from your installation and mine.
    Have you checked if other plugins are conflicting? https://docs.pods.io/faqs/plugin-theme-conflicts/

    Well, I guess there must be somewhere, but to be honest, I’ve spent too much time on this now.
