Products with variations not showing in feed

I have product variations but need to not to set a default variation. Reason being I want my customers to have to select the variation. In my case, this is for roasted coffee and the only variation is Grind type (drop, course, whole bean…). If I select a default variation then I know customers will place orders without paying attention to the grind. And likely order a grind type that did not intend to order.

But I only want Google to display a single product not Coffee A Grind 1, Coffee A Grind 2….

Can your feed plugin work given my needs? If so, how because only simple products are showing in my feed and no variations even though Include product variations is enabled.
