Products title with “Copy” added

  • Hi,

    We have since a couple of days something special on our invoices.

    Some products add a “copy” text in title in the PDF sended by e-mail.

    when I open those PDF thru the backoffice, this text has disapear.

    Hi @himself,

    That is strange. Have you installed any third party plugins in the last couple of days or added some custom code that would filter the product name?

    If you haven’t added any code yourself you can check if another plugin is the culprit. First disable all plugins except for WooCommerce and our PDF Invoices plugin. If the issue is then gone you’ll know one of the deactivated plugins was to blame.
    Then activate them one-by-one and run a test in between. When the ‘(Copy)’ text shows up again you know which plugin is at fault here.

    Hi, thank you for this fast reply.
    we have not add any new code or plugin recently.

    this appear not on any order, just sometimes since couple days.
    it’s difficult to deactivate those plugin in production.

    i will try to make it happen in preprod, but this mean to make many test orders.

    Does the product name inside the email itself (the one which the PDF was attached to) also have this “(Copie)” text?

    No. It doesn’t.

    I just got an information back from the client.
    this is not in the e-mail, but in the order (backoffice).
    and it’s only on the 1st clic on the PDF.
    if i download it again, it does not have this mention.

    and also an other case, once the product with COPY was not the good product, it was an other product. When we opened the PDF again, it was the right one without copy.

    Our free plugin doesn’t support multilingual setups without our Professional extension. You need this extension because it adds the required support for WPML. Also you need to make sure that you have the product copies titles translated in WPML.

    The way that the title might be not translate is a good idea.
    This site use WPML but translation is not online actually as not finished.
    I’m gonna explore this.

    For the pay extension, I will get it, even if it doesn’t correct the issue. I love to thanks developper with paying for pro extension ! I just didn’t know there was one !
