Thank you for the screenshots. Can you navigate to Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce, and check if Default product sorting is set to default (custom ordering + name)?

If the default sorting doesn’t work, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status so we can take a closer look? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

Thanks for sending over your System Status.

The Default sorting displays products by menu_order + name, which means they’re sorted by menu order value first and if a menu order is not set, the products are going to be displayed alphabetically.

Now, if you want to sort products alphabetically, you can do it manually, using a plugin or custom code. This article will walk you through these options with more details:

@rainfallnixfig I have applied the custom code which has given on the above URL but again the same issue is coming, a few same name products are appearing on the 2nd page and some are on the other pages.

This is because probably these products have a menu order assigned which is the custom ordering position for the item. You’ll want to remove that and your alphabetical sorting should work.

@rainfallnixfig ok thanks but we didn’t add this menu order how it is showing and what is the menu order? Is there any plugin installed?

The lower the menu order as highlighted by @rainfallnixfig, the higher the product will show in the frontend product listing.

This is by default in WooCommerce so you don’t need a plugin for it. See here: https://www.endocreative.com/customize-product-sorting-woocommerce/

Based on my assessment, this might be a theme issue

This kind of problem is usually caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin. 
?
The best way to determine this is to:
<ul>
<li>Temporarily switch your theme to <a href="https://www.woocommerce.com/storefront/" target="_blank">Storefront</a></li>
<li>Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce</li>
<li>Repeat the action that is causing the problem</li>
</ul>

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. <a href="https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/">You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.</a>

@oaoyadeyi Hi thanks for your reply. I have switched the theme to the storefront and disabled all the plugins except for WooCommerce.

But the problem is still there, please see a screenshot below as it is showing a few products on 5-page ‘Allenys school’ and others are 395 pages ‘Allenys school’

Those products on page 393 should have a menu order set that you can remove/leave empty and these products will be listed alphabetically.

I’m not aware of a method to bulk remove menu orders automatically, so you will need to access the product backend page and remove/cancel menu orders under Product data > Advanced.
