I need to know how to disable all ads on post. I only want to have this in a category/page/product page. NOT EVERY POST OR PAGE. PLEASE

This puts too much advertising on each page. Please help. Thank you

    Hi,

Go to Dashboard -> Amazon Auto Links -> Manage Auto-insert. And find the auto-insert item you want to edit and click on the Edit action link.

In the Auto-insert edition page, go to Where to Disable section and check Single Post in the Page Types option.

    Thank you for your response.

    It does not take.

    Toggle Status
On Off **This is on and will not stay off.
Use this to temporarily disable this auto-insertion. **will not stay off.

    Where to Insert

Define where auto insert should be performed.
Select Units *****this automatically goes back to what it was.
    PerfumesClothing
    Areas
Post / Page Content Excerpt Comment Feed Feed Excerpt
Check where product links should appear.
    Filter Hooks (advanced)

When I go down to the disable, it doesn’t take either. It always goes back to how it is programmed I guess. NOTHING TAKES.

Sorry I hope you can help because I like this idea but I want the products to be on their own page, not in every page or post.

Thank you very much. I don’t know if you can get there with this link or not: https://thewomanspost.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=amazon_auto_links&page=aal_define_auto_insert&tab=edit&post=5266

So you cannot change auto-insert definition options.

Do you get any notification message at the top of the page when you press the Save submit button?

Thank you again and yes here is the message.

Not all form fields could not be sent. Please check your server settings of PHP max_input_vars and consult the server administrator to increase the value. max input vars: 1000. $_POST count: 1012

I know since this is a free usage but I do appreciate your help as this ‘older’ lady is not the perfect tech. LOL But I really try.

    Thank you again

You need to increase the value of max_input_vars set by your server.

    Try these steps.

    1. Connect to your site via FTP or File Manager.
    2. Navigate to the wp-admin folder.
    3. Create a file inside wp-admin folder named php.ini.
    4. Add in this line:

    max_input_vars = 6000

    5. Save the file.

    Hope this helps.

I am going to HostGator to get this done. I don’t know who to do this and I do not want to cause major issues trying to do it myself.

This is a HostGator hosting with wordpress.

I will let you know if this works.

    Thanks for asking and help.

Not yes. I have gone to HostGator to let them do it. They have not unless they do it today. It can be done at least they say it can. They have instructions but I am not sure I need to change these kinds of things in the PHP file.

    Sorry.
