Products not showing to link with groups

We recently migrated our site, and we’ve had a lot of headaches, but we finally updated woocommerce. Last time it messed up all our grouped products but we did it anyway. Our older groups remained fine but the last batch we did a few weeks ago came ungrouped.

I realize the new way to group products is to go into the group and go to ‘linked products’ and select the ones to add to the group, which I like better as an option.

However, When I select linked products and start typing none of my products auto fill or show up at all. I can go into an older group and see the products linked there with the ‘x’ to remove them, but I start typing and can’t add anything else. It’s like nothing is populating at all no matter what I type, even if I type one of the products that shows as linked. I”m wondering if anyone else has seen this or if it’s a bug of some kind.
