Products not showing

Hi there,

That does not sound like expected behavior. By default, even if the “hide out of stock products” setting is enabled, variable products should be visible in the Shop as long as one of the variations has stock available.

It’s possible something in your custom “Airi” theme could be causing that display to be changed from the default behavior (or perhaps something in another plugin).

To check to see if this is the case, please temporarily switch your theme back to Storefront and disable all plugins except for WooCommerce, then check to see if the issue is fixed. If it is, then you can switch your theme back and reactivate plugins one-by-one until you find the one that is causing the issue.

it didn’t help. I disabled all the plugins except woocommerce and switched to twenty twenty theme.
i also found out it was not showing particular product with one variation when “hide out of stock” is enabled. The variation did have 1 in stock. The only thing that worked for me was to delete all attributes and variations and add attribute back and create a new variation. Then the product would show up. This would be a long process to do on other affected products.

Also few other points:
” Stock Display Format ” Any option selected does not appear to be doing anything to the website. It never shows quantity or low quantity when the option is selected.

Woocommerce/report/stock/out of stock does not match with products/out of stock and woocommerce admin / stock report does show out of stock items correctly.

I suppose woocommerce report should match with woocommerce admin report. Why is it not?

Don’t really know what else to try. Products that are set as in stock are simply not showing up when “hide out of stock items” is on.

It’s affecting about half of simple and variable products.

Yes, generally those should match up — if they are not, then it is most likely related to whatever is causing the other issue with products not showing up.

By default, if the “Hide out of stock items from catalog” setting is enabled, then any products with a _stock_status of outofstock in the _postmeta table will not appear on the Shop or archive pages.

If that data is not set correctly (missing or corrupt), then that setting may not work correctly.

To check this, I would recommend exporting all of your products to CSV using the built-in import/export functionality:

Then open up the CSV file and check those values on the products. If they do not look right, then you can update the values for those in the CSV file, and then either re-import and merge/update the products, or delete all your products and re-import them fresh.
