Hey guys, I just installed your calendar plugin and it’s working pretty great, however I have a question.

Is there anyway to have this calendar populate some of my WooCommerce products as events instead of having to create a new event which people click on only to learn that they have to click yet another link on that event post just to get to the actual product?

If you visit my site at the moment, you will find that the calendar has one event on it. When you click on it, it will tell you about the product, but to purchase tickets, you have to click a link on the event page to get to the product page.

I am looking to eliminate that middle step and just have a calendar link take you directly to the product page.

Please tell me this is possible.

    “Cheers!”

    Hi Indigo,

Have you checked out Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus — would they meet your needs here?

(I was unable to locate any events when I visited your site, I’m afraid, so was unable to view the problem.)

    Hi Barry,

There is a Calendar Icon link on the homepage. There is one event for September that has passed and two for October, one of which is set for October 6th – 8th.

I just noticed that the plugin fails to work properly on a mobile device as the calendar shows no event listings.

Anyhow, the products you have will definitely not work as they are. I have my products listed and built to the exact way that I want them to appear to the viewer and my question is “Instead having to create an event so that the calendar can see it as an event, is there a way to take an existing line of WooCommerce products and make them visible to the calendar so that they can appear on the calendar as an event?”

Currently, customers have to click on a calendar event to view it and then they have to click a special link on the event page to take them to the affiliated product page in which they have to click on a purchase link to get the whole thing started.

I want to eliminate the “event page” from that process so the calendar link takes them directly to the WooCommerse product page instead.

    “Is this even possible?”
I have been searching for months to get something that can do this with no success.

    Thanks,
    ~Indigo

By the way, here is the direct link to the calendar of events you missed:

    Hi @indigoverse,

As Barry mentioned, Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus connect your calendar to WooCommerce through product pages, although it seems like you may be looking for a different solution.

I am unable to see any events on your site, as the calendar was blank, so I could not accurately see the problem. However, you may want to take a look at our Themer’s Guide, as you can customize the templates that we have set up.

    I hope this helps!

    Hello Jaime,

    In regards to what you said;
“As Barry mentioned, Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus connect your calendar to WooCommerce through product pages…”

Barry never actually said that, but rather he asked if I had checked out event tickets and event tickets plus, then followed with “Would they meet your needs here?”

Essentially, he didn’t seem to know if WooCommerce Products would be supported, hence, his question.

As for the fact that you both now cannot see my calendar’s events, I’m not sure what else I can do at this point short of emailing you guys a screenshot or even a live video that shows that the events are in fact viewable.

When I visit my site’s events calendar, I can clearly see two events for October.
I had a few friends look at it for me just to make sure it wasn’t just myself that could see them and it turns out they can see the events as well.

I used current versions of Chrome/Safari to check and they used a current version of Firefox. The events are visible.

    Hi Indigo!

I’m sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Let me try to help you with this topic.

I could see the products being linked in your October events. As you did, that is totally possible to do. However, there is no built-in functionality to present a WooCommerce product as an event in the calendar.

Barry and Jamie suggested you check out our Event Tickets and Event Tickets Plus plugins that enables the creation of RSVP and tickets for your events.

I hope that clears things out.

    Best,
    Victor
