Products display order

Actually how do I change the display order of the products in the catalogue? Alphabetically wont do the job.

i.e it displays randomly:
Next to product id 4 is product id 5 then 6 then 7 then 19 then 8 then 9. it’s not alphabetical any suggestions how to fix this?

You can move around the position of products in the catalogue by dragging and dropping them in the catalogue details/edit catalogue page where the products in the catalogue are listed. You can also do this with categories to save time.

I seem to only be able to edit the order of the categories in the catalogue not individual products. My catalogue has no categories only a list of products.

Sorry about your difficulties, we’re not sure what exactly might be going on here. Would you mind positing a screenshot of your edit catalogue page so we can take a look? Is this a recent issue, perhaps after an update? Are you currently using the most up to date version of the plugin?

You can edit the order of the products within categories by dragging and dropping from the category details page (the one with all of the products in that category)

thanks, but why is not the load order , the order of the catalog/
it was the first time i loaded, then i deleted all products and reloaded and now the order is not the same/

also
when using show related products, we have to use product id not product name, so every time a reload is done the map must change.
other than editing a product, how do you determine the product id
it does not appear in the export product report.

Hi Tom,

the product ID is set on the dashboard, not on the spreadsheet. Simply click on your product on the dashboard. It will print the name of your product with its ID in parenthesis.

We will fix the batch upload order and release an update concerning it soon so that users are able to continuously reupload their spreadsheets without any sorting issues.
