Products & Collections Generate Pages with redirect Issues in Search Console

In Google Search Console, I’m seeing hundreds of “Coverage” issues for “Page with redirect”. After researching the issue, I’m seeing that the issues are being generated by the product and collection URL’s generated by the WP Shopify plugin.

The actual URLs to the products and collections look like this:

* https://pikadude.com/products/pokemon-summer-festival-pikachu-plush/
* https://pikadude.com/collections/pokemon/

But, the plugin generates the links to products and collections without the forward slash “/” at the end of the URLs like this:

* https://pikadude.com/products/pokemon-summer-festival-pikachu-plush
* https://pikadude.com/collections/pokemon

So, when you click on a link to a product or collection it doesn’t have a forward slash “/” at the end of the URL and you’re then redirected to the URL with a forward slash added. Google Search Console then considers this a “Page with redirect” issue.

Please generate the URLs to products and collections with a “/” at the end.
