I have random products that are listed as 410 even though I never created it as a 410 in redirections. I even checked in redirections to make sure everything is right and don’t see them. But when I go to individual products and check the rank math settings advanced, they are listed as 410 redirection.

I’m not sure what the issue is but this is causing random products to be deindexed, please help.

I went thru and checked all my products and most of them were set to 410 redirects even though I didn’t ignite that chat. Good thing most of the ones set to 410 were still indexed so I caught the change in time.

I’m not sure what is causing this but I feel there is some underlying issue where this isn’t a permanent fix.

    Hello @tsmallswp,

Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

Can you please tell us if you imported the Redirections data from any plugin?

We checked on our setup by creating a new Product and also by updating the existing Product ( first we disabled the RM plugin and then we created the Product ), none of it created a Redirection rule.

    Looking forward to helping you.

I have not imported the redirections data from any plugin. The only I have done which may be linked to it is use a permalink manager to change slugs on my products then I redirected them through your redirections with a 301. This should have caused the issue though. This was a month or two ago so don’t think it has to do with it.

After checking actually about 80% of the products had a 410 redirection set luckily only a couple actually got deindexed after checking with inspect tool in the google search console.

    Hello @tsmallswp

The 301 redirections created using Rank Math will not show 410. You can also check these URLs in the Network tab: https://i.rankmath.com/EIQvJv

Also, are you using the Permalink Manager plugin to remove the base from the product links? Rank Math also provides this option under WooCommerce settings which when enabled will automatically redirect the Old Product links (with product base) to the new ones:

    Hope that helps. Thank you.

For some reason, the screen recording you provided will not play or download. I use permalink manager as it has more features that I need for internal linking.

I’m really not sure what the issue was as I didn’t manually set them to 410 so hopefully, it doesn’t happen again.
